Jim Simons: The Best Trader on the Planet; Trend Follower? | TurtleTrader

The advantage scientists bring into the game is less their mathematical or computational skills than their ability to think scientifically. They are less likely to accept an apparent winning strategy that might be a mere statistical fluke.

TraderFeed: Recognizing Range Markets With Sector Behavior

Note how the board is a mix of green and red. That is typical of range markets, as we see sector reallocation dictating flows of funds, not general directional (trending) revaluation across sectors. Recognizing a range environment early in the day is helpful both for identifying potential points reversal around range extremes, such as this morning's reversal once we tested yesterday's price highs.

Implicit Trading

"Our Job as Traders is to be the Therapist, the concert aficionado, the sensitive reader; tracking themes as they emerge and shift. If we view market action as a conversation, then we can listen as a core investment skill" - Dr. Steenbarger

I like quotes from Steenbarger.
